Superintendent Update - September 8, 2021
Dear NELSD Families,
The Northeastern Local School District is committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. Therefore, we want to inform you that due to an increase of positive COVID -19 cases and quarantines, the following school buildings will move to full-time remote learning for all students on Thursday, Sept. 9, and Friday, Sept. 10, 2021:
This decision was reached in consultation with the Clark County Combined Health District’s (CCCHD) Health Commissioner Charles Patterson. We will continue to evaluate our numbers and work closely with the CCCHD on our plans moving forward.
To see the virtual schedule that your child should be following, please look over the NELSD Remote Learning Framework available on our website at https://www.nelsd.org/.
For Northridge Elementary and Middle School families who need lunch while we are virtual, please come to the front door at Northridge Elementary and Middle School between 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to pick up a lunch that can be heated up at home.
For Northeastern Middle School and High School families who need lunch while we are virtual, please come to the back band door at Northeastern High School between 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to pick up a lunch that can be heated up at home.
The health and safety of our students and staff are our highest priority. So please stay tuned for more information in the coming days.
