Dear NELSD Families,
We have changed to TEC to deliver SMS texts, phone calls, and emails directly to our parents/guardians and staff as well as for attendance notifications. We have also moved to FinalForms
, enabling our families to update their parent/guardian contact information, Emergency Medical Authorization (EMA) forms, new student registration, athletic forms and more.
Phone calls from the new notification system will come from (937) 568-7117 and text messages from 64085. We recommend that you save these numbers on your phone to help prevent your carrier from blocking essential news from the school district.
How do I receive SMS text, phone, or email notifications?
Parents/guardians need to:
- Be associated with their children in FinalForms, the district’s new enrollment and forms management system, which is now available.
- Have correct phone numbers and email addresses in FinalForms.
- For SMS text notifications: You will receive a text message from 64085 requesting you to opt-in in the coming days. Reply “tec” to confirm. To complete your opt-in, reply "yes" to the follow-up message. You must reply "yes" to confirm opting in. Find more info about text notifications by clicking here.
Why didn’t I receive a text confirmation when I replied “tec” to 64085?
Your carrier and mobile phone plan must support short code texting. Please contact your wireless carrier to enable short code text messages.
How do I stop receiving text notifications?
Text or reply “STOP” to 64085.
How do I verify my phone number and email addresses are correct?
If you have a FinalForms Parent account, you can view this information under the “Contact Information” section under your child(ren)’s name. Or contact your child’s school.
I don’t have a FinalForms account yet. What do I do?
I opted out of email notifications. How do I opt back in?
Text “tec subscribe all” (tec in lower case) to 64085. You will receive a response and need to reply “yes” to that to opt back in.
We also want families to know that since we are starting school later than usual, our families will begin receiving correspondence once our building secretaries return in Mid-August instead of the beginning of August. Additionally, parents enrolling new students, including Kindergarteners, can upload all of their required documents in FinalForms, and do not need to schedule an in-person appointment.
We know change can be difficult, but these two new changes will help us communicate more effectively and efficiently with our families.
As always, please reach out to us with any questions you have. I can be reached at the Board Office by calling (937) 325-7615 or by email at [email protected]
