The Superintendent is the Chief Executive Officer of the Board and responsible for the leadership, administration, and supervision of the school district. The Superintendent is not a part of the Board, but functions as the primary professional adviser to the Board.
Dr. Kramer has been the Superintendent of the Northeastern Local School District for the past two years. During his career, he has held the positions of elementary teacher, junior high and high school coach, elementary and high school principal, and district Director of Curriculum. Besides his duties as Superintendent, Kramer is also an active Springfield Area Rotarian, serves on the Buckeye Association of School Administrator’s Technology Committee, and works as part of the Dayton Area Center of Practice, which is a regional center focused on supporting Ohio's Resident Educator Program. Personally, he identifies himself as a recovering high school principal and a Cleveland sports enthusiast, which makes him an eternal optimist and a glutton for punishment. Lou and his wife Janet have been happily married for 14 years and have four school aged children.
