Northeastern High School's FFA raised $10,110 for the Clark County Breast Cancer Endowment Fund at the FFA's 2017 Pink Powder Puff event, the organization announced Thursday, Dec. 14. In the annual event's sixth year, the FFA was able to raise its highest donation yet, bringing total donations from the event to over $50,000 in six years.
Northeastern alum and one of the founders of the endowment, Gretta Runyan, was on hand to accept the funds raised for the endowment.
"The success of this event is not possible without full NE community support that include high school and middle school staff, administration, FFA Boosters and many individuals living in our district," said Northeastern FFA Advisor Jeannie Anders. "I am often left speechless and overwhelmed with gratitude for all the support our FFA members receive to help make this event such an spectacular success."
