NELSD will introduce online report cards for students in 3rd through 12th grade in the 3rd quarter of the 2018-19 school year to make accessing information about a student’s academic performance more convenient for parents.
At the end of the 3rd quarter in March 2019, families will have access to the online report card and will also receive the traditional paper report card. Beginning in the 4th quarter, families will receive the online report card and will no longer receive the paper report card, unless they have requested to continue receiving a paper copy.
Students in kindergarten through 2nd grade will continue to receive a paper report card.
“Having parents involved and up-to-date about their student’s academic performance is key to helping students succeed,” said Superintendent John Kronour. “We’re committed to finding ways to make getting that information easier and more convenient for families such as the introduction of online report cards and look forward to continuing to partner with parents for the benefit of our students.”
In addition to providing more timely and convenient access to information, the district will realize savings in printing costs and create a more efficient process to make better use of staff time, said Dr. Kronour.
Information on accessing online report cards will be sent home to families or can be accessed online here. To request to continue receiving paper copies of the report card, please contract your building office or send email to email@example.com
The third quarter ends on March 15, 2019, and report cards will be sent home and available online on March 22, 2019.
